1. General Information
Company: The Kili Master
Services: Kilimanjaro trekking guides, mountain climbing expeditions, and related adventure tourism services
Location: Tanzania
By booking any services with The Kili Master, you agree to these terms and conditions.
2. Booking and Payment
2.1 Booking Process
All bookings must be confirmed in writing
A deposit of 30% is required to secure your booking
Full payment is due 30 days before departure
Bookings made within 30 days of departure require full payment
2.2 Pricing
All prices are quoted in USD unless otherwise stated
Prices include services as specified in your itinerary
Additional costs (flights, visas, personal equipment) are not included unless stated
Prices may be subject to change due to external factors beyond our control
3. Cancellation Policy
3.1 Cancellation by Client
More than 60 days before departure: 25% cancellation fee
60-30 days before departure: 50% cancellation fee
30-14 days before departure: 75% cancellation fee
Less than 14 days before departure: 100% cancellation fee
3.2 Cancellation by The Kili Master
We reserve the right to cancel trips due to insufficient bookings, safety concerns, or force majeure
Full refund will be provided if we cancel your trip
We are not liable for additional costs incurred due to our cancellation
4. Health and Fitness Requirements
4.1 Physical Fitness
Kilimanjaro climbing requires good physical fitness
Clients must disclose any medical conditions that may affect their ability to climb
We recommend a medical check-up before booking
4.2 Age Restrictions
Minimum age: 10 years (with parental consent and supervision)
Maximum age: No limit, subject to fitness assessment
Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult
5. Travel Insurance
5.1 Mandatory Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all climbers
Insurance must cover high-altitude trekking, medical evacuation, and trip cancellation
Proof of insurance must be provided before departure
6. Equipment and Gear
6.1 Personal Equipment
Clients are responsible for bringing appropriate personal climbing gear
Equipment list will be provided upon booking
Rental equipment may be available for an additional fee
6.2 Group Equipment
Tents, cooking equipment, and safety gear are provided by The Kili Master
Damaged or lost group equipment may result in replacement charges
7. Itinerary and Route Changes
7.1 Weather and Safety
Routes and itineraries may be changed due to weather, safety, or other factors beyond our control
Such changes do not constitute grounds for refund or compensation
7.2 Guide Decisions
Our guides have final authority on all safety-related decisions
Clients must follow guide instructions at all times
Failure to comply may result in removal from the trip without refund
8. Liability and Risk
8.1 Inherent Risks
Mountain climbing involves inherent risks including but not limited to:
Altitude sickness
Weather-related dangers
Physical injury
Equipment failure
Clients participate at their own risk
8.2 Limitation of Liability
The Kili Master's liability is limited to the cost of services provided
We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages
Clients assume responsibility for their own safety and well-being
9. Force Majeure
We are not liable for any failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
Natural disasters
Government actions
Political instability
Pandemic restrictions
Acts of terrorism
10. Conduct and Behavior
10.1 Client Conduct
Clients must behave respectfully toward guides, porters, and other team members
Alcohol and drug use during climbs is prohibited
Inappropriate behavior may result in removal from the trip
10.2 Environmental Responsibility
Clients must follow Leave No Trace principles
Littering or environmental damage may result in additional charges
11. Photography and Marketing
11.1 Image Rights
The Kili Master may use photos/videos from trips for marketing purposes
Clients may opt out by providing written notice
No compensation is provided for use of client images
12. Complaints and Disputes
12.1 Complaint Process
Complaints should be raised immediately with your guide
Written complaints must be submitted within 30 days of trip completion
We will investigate and respond within 14 days
12.2 Dispute Resolution
Disputes will be resolved through mediation if possible
Governing law: Tanzania
Jurisdiction: Tanzanian courts
13. Data Protection
13.1 Personal Information
We collect personal information necessary for trip planning and safety
Information is kept confidential and not shared with third parties
Clients have the right to access and correct their personal data
14. General Provisions
14.1 Entire Agreement
These terms constitute the entire agreement between parties
Any modifications must be in writing and signed by both parties
14.2 Severability
If any provision is deemed invalid, the remainder of the terms remain in effect
14.3 Updates
We reserve the right to update these terms
Updated terms will be posted on our website
Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of updated terms
