Description
Known as the “Whiskey Route,” Machame is the most popular trail up Kilimanjaro — and for good reason. It offers incredible views, a varied landscape, and a solid acclimatization profile. From dense rainforest to high-altitude glaciers, each day brings something new.
Unlike Marangu, Machame is a camping route — which means more privacy and immersion in nature. It’s also steeper and more physically challenging, making it better suited to those with good fitness.
All treks are led by Dulla and his trusted team. Having guided over 250 successful summits, Dulla ensures every climber is supported — and every porter is treated with dignity.
“Machame is a favorite for climbers who want a balance of challenge and beauty. It’s a busy route, but the views are worth it. Take the 7-day option if you can — your body will thank you.”
